OEHA Fundraising

Fundraising Activites:

The Oregon Environmental Health Association has been the leader in environmental health workforce development and advocacy in Oregon for 65 years. OEHA fosters cooperation and understanding among environmental health professionals, and works with other like-minded organizations consistent with the advancement, cause, image and the professional development of the environmental health profession in Oregon.

This helps ensure that all Oregonians have the information, skills, and resources necessary to live a healthy life. Work done to prevent illnesses and injuries can never be measured quantitatively. It is the absence of illness, which all of us have come to take for granted, that marks the success of our efforts.

Annual Education Conference:

Our annual conference is the premier professional meeting of Environmental health professionals in Oregon. Effective environmental health policies and programs are integral to managing health threats ranging from foodborne illness to environmental pollution and effective workplace ergonomics. It has been shown that these programs lead to economic stability and a productive workforce.

A strong and competent environmental health workforce relies heavily on providing continuing education for environmental health professionals. The Oregon Environmental Health Association is organizing their annual education conference on October 10 & 11, 2011 in Corvallis.
